Gender in Innovation - Innovation in Clusters (12/2014 - 11/2015)

The project was focused on the gender mainstreaming in clusters in the Moravian–Silesian Region. The main goal was to support the equality of gender in all innovation spheres and boost the innovation potential of clusters by means of gender perspective application with experiences and the best practise from Norway.

Projects concentrated on a better exploitation of the gender perspective in innovation processes of cluster organisations and their members (enterprises, educational/research organisations and other supportive institutions) for the benefit of the improvement of their competitiveness.

Clusters are considered as an important part of the innovation infrastructure, the vehicle of the regional specialisation and competitive advantage. The main goal of the project was to support the equality of gender in all innovation spheres and boost the innovation potential of clusters by means of gender perspective application.

The project aimed to contribute to the optimisation of the use of the women potential for innovation. The project topics also include the inclusion and maintaining of women in the working process by means of suitable solutions for reconciling work and family life, better understanding of the gender inequality in the innovation cycle and also the use of different kinds of incentives for the industry and research to create gender balance in research and innovation teams.
