Sustainable food systems: Cluster approaches in the bio-based economy - EU Clusters Talk, 15 November 2023

Novinka

The bio-based economy can play a fundamental role in the decarbonisation of the planet, the production of agricultural bio-inputs, healthy food, the sustainable intensification of agricultural production, and the transformation towards more sustainable & equitable food systems.

Bioeconomy can strengthen local value chains by promoting the reuse of food resources, as well as by increasing efficiency and recycling through products & co-products in different biological systems. In addition, the diversification of agricultural commodity production, increased use of bio-based inputs in agriculture, and the diversification of rural incomes into rural production of bioenergy bio-based industry & environmental services can strengthen the resilience of European value chains.

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, organised the EU Clusters Talk “Bioeconomy and Sustainable Food Systems” on 15 November 2023, 8:30 – 9:45 CET. Learn more about these projects and discuss how clusters can get involved.
