On January 25th, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade officially announced the winning candidates from the Czech Republic for the European Center for Digital Innovation (EDIH).
On January 25th, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade officially announced the winning candidates from the Czech Republic for the European Center for Digital Innovation (EDIH). One of the six candidates from the Czech Republic is the Digital Innovation Hub Northern and Eastern Bohemia, whose partner is also the National Cluster Association. Candidates are shortlisted and competed together on an imaginary „battlefield“ in Brussels.
The Consortium based Liberec and operates intensively, especially in the regions of Liberec, Hradec Králové, and cross-border regions of South-Eastern Germany and South-Western Poland, and other Czech regions. The leader is Regional Development Agency which also includes LIPO.INK incubator. There also are other partners like National Cluster Associations, Research Institute of Machinery and Equipment, Technical University of Liberec, University of Hradec Králové, Institute of Plasma Physics – Czech Academy of Sciences and Centre for Investment, Development and Innovation.
The consortium intensively cooperate with some foreign partners, Technical UNI Chemnitz, Fraunhofer IWU Chemnitz, Wrocław Technology Transfer Center, Wroclaw University of Technology, Opole University, Lausitz-Life and Technology Center for innovation and technology transfer, HSZ, Erzgebirge Wirtschafts forderung Chemnitz
Digital Innovation Hub - Northern and Eastern Bohemia, builds on the existing connection between expert and technological know-how of progressive digitization activities of its partners providing long-term services in the field of the digital transformation of SMEs and public institutions, innovation, technical education and basic and applied research - all linked to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Specifically robotics, cybernetics, 3D printing and 3D scanning, machine learning, sensors, neural networks and bioinformatics.
