Nanoprogress Cluster members are very active in the battle against Virus spread and nanotechnologies play a crucial rule. In the last years, there has been a significant progress in the Czech nanotechnology industry not only in products themselves, but also in production technologies.

Great success in this area has been a patent technology for nanofiber production; spinning polymer solution with alternating current. The technology was introduced by Professor David Lukáš from Technical University of Liberec. Based on the technology, the university has developed the laboratory equipment for preparation of nanofibers and nano assembly line, which is currently used to produce nanofiber face masks with the highest level of protection.

The University has also founded face mask initiative called : #rouskystulkou  supported also by the Liberec region.
