How the cluster managers improved their communication skills thanks to the professional training
The professional training took place at the Technology Centre Prague on August 22, 2024. The lecturer, Petr Jasinsky, introduced cluster managers to new techniques for effectively communicating their successes.
The goal of the training organised by the National Cluster Association and under Petr Jasinsky's supervision was to help cluster organizations better express their successes effectively and simply. To communicate results effectively, it was necessary to clarify who the target audience of the cluster organisations is, what this audience would like to know, and what the value of the message is. Participants found that they often only communicate their work processes, but that is not the final result, which is very important to their audience. Therefore, it is essential to know not only the audience but also their needs in order to target them correctly. A well-written article, update, or social media post can bring new contacts, members, and collaboration opportunities to cluster organisations. Well-crafted communications can then serve better as presentations not only in the Czech market but also internationally. Specific results can be used in negotiations with the ministry to showcase the capabilities of cluster organisations.
Representatives of eight clusters and the Technology Centre Prague worked through a series of practical exercises during the one-day training, which they discussed on-site with the lecturer Petr Jasinsky. They learned several techniques that will help them in creating new materials and better communicating their organizations' successes. After the training, the managers were tasked with creating their own draft of an article, a case study, a LinkedIn post, and other materials, with the option of receiving feedback from the lecturer. The result of the training is a set of finished materials that will be used for future purposes.
The most active and skilled participants received the book Zralá komunikace a jak na ni vyzrát (Effective Communication and How to Master It) as a reward.
