DronySIT: Drones in the Role of Rescuer

Drony SIT is a team that takes drones from the lab into action — to the injured, the missing, and places unreachable by people.
Drony SIT demonstrate how, through modifications and real-world deployment, drones can support emergency services. This innovation will be presented during the Cluster Day in the Pilsen Region on 22 October 2025 in the Technology Village.
Drony SIT, operating under the Administration of Information Technology of the City of Plzeň, is focused on developing and deploying drones to support the city of Plzeň and the Integrated Rescue System. The team works on technical modifications, testing, and practical use in the field.
Drones in the Role of Rescuer
The drone for AED and medical supply transport is designed for urgent interventions in areas where rapid access for rescuers is difficult. It enables defibrillators or medication to be delivered within minutes thanks to precise navigation, significantly shortening the time to first aid — and increasing survival chances.
Indoor drones are used for surveying buildings, basements, or halls without risking human lives. With our customised modifications — protective frames, stabilisation, and GPS-independent navigation — they help locate people, identify fire hotspots, and map damaged spaces. These solutions are particularly useful to firefighters and emergency response teams.
When a person goes missing, a forest is on fire, or a building collapses, our drones are the first eyes in the sky. In just a few minutes, we can search large areas, transmit GPS coordinates of points of interest, and guide ground teams safely. We can monitor fire sites, track flood levels, and deliver medicine or rescue equipment where it’s needed most.
All this is done by DronySIT — the Plzeň drone team — with a strong focus on safe operations and regulatory compliance. Come and see what we can already do today and discover the professions behind it: from pilots and technicians to data analysts.
Technology with wings — and purpose.
