A Groundbreaking Cooperation Agreement Between the Optical and Semiconductor Clusters
On November 27, the Czech Optical Cluster signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster (CNSC). This step promises to revolutionize the Czech industry, connect cutting-edge technologies, and strengthen the Czech Republic's position in the global market.
"This agreement is a key step towards enhancing the innovation potential and competitiveness of the Czech optical and semiconductor industries, contributing to the development of the European Union's technological and industrial base," stated Prof. Ing. Josef Lazar, Dr., Vice President of the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster and Director of the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
"The cooperation between the Czech Optical Cluster and the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster represents a key step towards deeper integration of two strategic sectors – optics and semiconductors. Through joint activities, we will be better equipped to address current challenges in technological research, innovation, and industrial production. This collaboration strengthens not only the support for our members but also the Czech Republic's position as a significant player in the global high-tech market," stated Ing. Silvie Skyvová, Chairwoman of the Executive Board of the Czech Optical Cluster.
The agreement between the COC and CNSC was signed during the COC members' meeting held on November 27, 2024, at the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Královopolská 147, Brno.
